Someone who experiences an internal identity that is beyond the scope of what is traditionally considered human; anyone who has a non-standard relationship with their humanity. This can include but isn't limited to: furry subcultures, starseeds, otherkin, therians, otherhearted, vampires, introjects/alters.
The word alterhuman covers a broad range of experiences which can have very little or nothing to do with one another, they can be voluntary or involuntary, more human-leaning or completely non-human.
Someone who identifies as a fictional or nonhuman being/entity either spiritually or psychologically on an integral, non-physical level. It can also be defined as a personal belief and an ontological phenomenon.
This can include but isn't limited to: dragons, elves, foxes, bugs, plants, unicorns, aliens and fictional characters. This can be used as an umbrella term that is more specific than alterhumanity.
Modern Therianthropy is a phenomenon categorized by a deep integral or personal belief that an individual is in some way a non-human animal either on a spiritual or psychological level.
Therians fully acknowledge they have a human body, but internally they view themselves as an animal or animals. This animal identification can be instead of or in addition to human identification.
